This collection of letters by poet Rainer Maria Rilke discusses the struggles and realities of being a creative. This publication uses texture and patterns to move the reader through the letters. All of the imagery comes from small square cutouts from magazines that were then enlarged by a photocopier to reveal the texture created by the offset printing process. The photocopies were then scanned and edited to get the final images. Continuing with the square theme, small square characters were used in place of paragraph breaks to maintain the layout while ensuring legibility and maintaining a connection with the text.
